Safely moving 500+ people across this planet will be fun right?

Reflecting on Race Directing and inspiring people to sign up and run your race is an act of War as well as an act of Love.  Tremendous amount of time, passion and work go into fulfilling your original dream and yes that dream does change over the years.

I hope to inspire people to pursue creating fun, challenging events outside, on the trails or anywhere on this amazing Plant!

2007 Bulldog 25k / 50k
With Jim, Stephen, Larry, Ann, Randy, Shannon and Keith

It all started here in 2007:  Bulldog 25k / 50k

We all have that one friend....the crazy one that gets you out doing things you would have never signed up for.  This was Ann for us and I am so grateful to her for introducing trail racing to us.

We've always loved the trails but never knew running a organized race out in the mountains could be so much fun!

Step 1 to becoming a awesome Race Director:  Run your local races

Become a student of what you like and don't like about that race.  Take notes, talk to the race director, thank them for all that they've done and then start your plan.  Hopefully this plan will be your own and it will not cross others (more on that later).  The more races you run the better idea you'll get of what fits for you, your personality, your area and then start you plan.

Our local area has a trail race series which I would highly recommend you participate in wherever you live.  Our is http://www.socalultraseries.org .  If you do not have one then consider starting one.  It's a great way to connect up all the local runners in your area.

That's it for my first post folks.  Many more to come.

Happy Trails
